I don’t have to tell you that other women’s organizations have membership fees of upwards to $1,000 or more annually to join.

I’m not going to compare it to the cost of having your favorite coffee every day or your splurge on a vacation or high-priced doo-dad that you just had to have.

I think you’re already doing the math in your head and you can see that having VIP access to well-planned, regularly scheduled golf events could add more laughter and happiness to your life.

Meet Queens on the Greens Founder, Angela G. Solomon

It started in 2017.

My sons were all in high school and I knew I would be an empty-nester soon. I would have more time for myself – and for a new hobby. What could it be?

My husband plays golf and invited me to join him a few times to ride along in the golf cart. As he played each hole, I imagined how much more fun golf would be if I got out of the cart and into the game. I convinced two of my girlfriends to enroll in beginners golf clinics with me to learn how to play.

We completed the clinics, but we weren’t consistently playing – until the pandemic of 2020 forced us to find ways to socialize safely.

My girls and I played golf every Thursday, improving our skills each week.

We all benefited from golf – it strengthened our friendships, it kept us physically active, and it was a stress reliever amidst everything going on in the world at the time. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we all looked forward to the next Thursday.

So I thought, why not introduce even more women of color to golf for friendship, fitness, and fun

Wahlah! Queens on the Greens™ was born.

So join in.We’ll have golf clinics, social events, travel events, and golf tournaments – lots of ways for you to connect with people who enjoy having fun playing golf.

Today, golf is more than a hobby for me. It’s a passion.

And Queens on the Greens™ is more than a community. It’s a movement.

Come to our next event. You’ll meet new friends and maybe even catch the golf bug, too!
